SMIT Village

Everyday we go to this nice place sm kms outside shillong for paragliding called SMIT village ... the place is perfect no trees jus awesome heights an open spaces .... an everyday we give the local village kids something to cheer bout ...its a big thing for them seeing these huge army vehs rollin down the country roads which have hardly seen anything bigger then a car... an these burly men siting inside in combat uniforms .... we could have easily been going to war but what does it matter ... Its strange being an object of attention to be looked at an with expressions of wonder an to feel as if ur in sm place wher u dnt hav mch of reason being there..... but all that dsnt stop the local kids for waving there arms off at us an with smiles to die for :) ..... it makes me feel all warm inside seeing those kids an happy smiles atleast we hav got those on their faces .....

Having stayed in a village myself I kno its a big thing ... i hav waved at passing trucks myslef an tryin to prove to the kids around me that time it wus me they ppl inside me wher waving at all the time .... I guess the kids out there gonna remember these days for the rest of their lives "When The Army Went Marchin By " an this time not for war but for sumthing much better .... tomorrow its another day towards Smit Another round of waving cheering clapping an smiling ......

Wow has the place changed :) but i think for the better ... gone are the days of insurgency an violence ... its like any other city in india now ... cant help wonder but when prosperity comes an ppl get fed up wth the useless carnage thers always a change ... im kinda short on time right now so will write in detail at a later stage ...

Btw the para gldin course is goin great had my first flight today mst say feels awesome to fly like a bird an jus glide around ...but mst say its not a easy thing to do ... had to roll down the hill a couple of times too but in the end the rush wus worth it ....lukin forward to takin off frm more heights .... will post pics later so longgggg
